Printing Processes

At Lion Labels, Inc. we utilize more than three types of printing technologies to produce labels, tags and decals. Decisions are made based on the needs of our clients:

  1. A) Flexography: A traditional, analog printing technology utilizing photopolymer printing plates to reproduce graphics at higher press speeds. Flexography has a variety of advantages over other types of printing methods. A few advantages are, higher press speed, color matching Pantone colors and the use of metallic inks, and in-line converting.
  2. B) Digital: Digital printing removes much traditional workflow from the production equation. This makes the digital workflow process extremely efficient and very quick compared to analog printing methods. Essentially a digital file is created in pre-press. The file is processed and sent directly to the queue at a digital press. There are little to no setup costs involved with a job that will be printed digitally.
  3. C) Hotstamping & Embossing: At Lion Labels Inc. we are able to produce labels using a Hotstamp printing method. Although many companies use hotstamping as their primary or only printing method, we consider it an “add-on” advantage. We are able to add a hotstamp and/or embossed image to almost any printed label we produce.
  4. D) Large Format Inkjet: Lion Labels, Inc. strives to offer as much as we can to our clients. With our large-format graphics capability, we are able to provide many types of short-run decals, vehicle & wall graphics, banners, transfer letters/graphics, etc. to our clients.
