PRE-PRESS / DESIGN

Our comprehensive, on-site pre-press department prepares your files for various printing and offers design assistance/recommendations to benefit your final product. Although we live in the digital age, digital files are typically not ready for print, so when pre-flighting your file, we ensure all the minor details that will impact the quality of your final product are addressed.

We are capable of correcting almost any issues and will work with you to make sure you’re happy with any adjustments made.

PRINTING TECHNOLOGY

At Lion Labels, we offer three specialized printing methods to satisfy your label requirements in the most efficient way possible.

Digital

With our digital press technology, we are able to address specific efficiency gaps that other printing technologies are unable to fulfill. With each digital file created in pre-press, digital printing streamlines the production equation and improves turnaround time compared to other printing methods.

Our digital press and the expertise of those who operate it allow us to produce short runs of multiple SKUs without incurring any of the setup costs associated with other types of printing. Other advantages of digital printing include: economical test runs, efficiently printing multiple SKUs, and label serialization/personalization.

Flexographic

Flexography (often abbreviated to flexo) is traditional, analog printing technology utilizing photopolymer printing plates to reproduce graphics at higher press speeds. Our flexo presses are utilized for longer runs at high speed, high quality and efficiency. With Flexographic technology, our operators can match Pantone spot colors, print metallic, fluorescent, and specialty inks. Flexographic presses allow us to print, laminate/varnish, and die cut all in one single operation.

Wide Format/Vinyl

We are proud to offer large-format graphics capabilities. One of the most common uses of our large format division is not “large format” at all—we can economically produce labels of any shape in very small quantities. This is best suited for the small quantities often required for the launch of a new product, test marketing, and prototyping.
